Posted

Mable Kinglee was the only child born to her loving parents Lucretia and David Boulds (deceased) on December 25, 1916, in Ritter, South Carolina. On Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, God Almighty called her home to be with Him. Mrs. Mable was the mother of six children. She is survived by her two sons, Francis (King) Kinglee and David Kinglee. She was preceded in death by her daughters Clara Stephens, Ruth Saxby, Mabel Riley, and Elizabeth Kinglee Triplett, as well as her brother, Thomas Boulds. She also leaves cherished memories with her 18 grandchildren and their spouses, 43 great grandchildren, 44 great-great grandchildren, 2 bonus grand and 2 bonus great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her unconditional love, warmth, and gentle ways. Mrs. Mable was a lifetime resident of Colleton County and a member of Saint Paul AME Church since the age of twenty, and last served as an Usher. She moved into her home in June of 1968 where she raised her precious family. She first worked in a shirt factory and then as a housekeeper until she retired at 77 years young. Mrs. Mable was a community icon, well-known for her pound cakes and sweet potato pies made from scratch. She was immensely proud of the influence she had on her children and grandchildren and the children she helped raise that were not born to her. She had a welcoming heart, loved dishing out meals, giving motherly advice, sharing her wisdom, and watching baseball, wrestling and game shows. Most importantly, she was a woman of great faith and prepared for her homegoing. Her Celebration of Life and Internment was held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, 11:00 AM at Cumberland United Methodist Church, 5806 Ritter Road, Walterboro, South Carolina.
