Mr. Freddie Lee Stanfill, Sr., affectionately known by his CB handle “Leprechaun”, 74, of Round O, entered into eternal rest Saturday evening, August 17, 2024, at his residence. Born February 12, 1950, in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Harry W. Stanfill, Sr. and Mable Ferguson Stanfill. He was a lifelong log truck driver and loved fishing and mud bogging. Surviving are: his wife of fifty-four years, Brenda Bunton Stanfill; son, Freddie Lee Stanfill, Jr. (Rebecca); brother, Harry Stanfill, Jr. of Walterboro, George H. Stanfill, Sr. (Robin) of Round O, and Roy C. Stanfill (Erma) of Walterboro; sisters-in-law, Paulette Barnes and Darlene Bunton; brother-in-law, Barney Bunton; grandchildren, Royce Lee Stanfill (Abby), Mary Caitlyn Stanfill, Morgan Elizabeth Stanfill, Charles Kevin Stanfill, Jr., and Lyndsey Ann Stanfill; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Kevin Stanfill, Sr.; sister, Carolyn Gonda; sister-in-law, Celestine Bunton; and brother-in-law, Jackie Barnes. Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, August 22, 2024, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Stanfill Cemetery, on Nightingale Lane, Round O. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 at The Brice W.
