Bobby Dean Bowden, 35, of Walterboro, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 26, 2024, at his residence. Born February 10, 1989, in Charleston, South Carolina to Anna Fay Rush Bowden and the late Andrew Augustine Bowden, Jr. Bobby is lovingly remembered to have had a heart of gold, who loved to mingle with anyone and everyone, he loved to fish, drive fast, listen to music, cold beer, and turning wrenches. He is said to have been a “Tinker” who always stayed busy working on a vehicle, during any season, with a fire lit. He was a daredevil who never turned down a dare or a good time. His nieces, nephews, and grandchildren were the light of his life and Bobby loved spending time with them and the rest of his family. Only ever wanting to make his family proud, he cared for all, even a stranger. It is said that he would give you his last dollar if you ever needed it, but you had better spend it before he asked for it back. He truly would go without, just to give someone what they needed. If you knew Bobby, you knew he always stood up after being knocked down and was tough as nails. He will be missed dearly. Surviving are: his mother, Anna Rush Bowden of St. George; his fiancé of eight years, Tonya Banks of Walterboro; brother, Jonathan Bowden and his wife Shanon of Walterboro; sister, Courtney L. Willis and her husband Matt of St. George; nieces, Amber, Kaylyn, and Kalleigh; nephews, Jonathan Andrew, William, and Brantley; grandchildren, Cason and Khia. In addition to his father, Bobby is preceded in death by his brother Andrew “Drew” Augustine Bowden, III. Funeral services were held 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, August 3, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Arrangements By: The Brice W.
