Mr. John Cornelius Bazzle, known to everyone as “J.C.”, 70, of Ehrhardt, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, July 28, 2024, at his brothers’ home surrounded by his loving family. Born August 10, 1953, in Bamberg, he was a son of the late Derrill C. Bazzle and Ada Helen Platts Bazzle. He was a member of Ehrhardt Baptist Church. J.C. loved horses. He worked on the horse farm James Layden for many years and also helped Daniel Chassereau with his horses. He then went to work at the station for Donald Bessinger where he stocked the drink boxes. He enjoyed being a volunteer for the Ehrhardt Fire Department, loved riding his bicycle, and never missed an episode of Law and Order. Surviving are: his brother, Alfred Bazzle and his wife Judy of Ehrhardt; sisters, Lorraine Mixson of Cummings and Linda Thomason of Tifton, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Owen Alfred Bazzle, Jr. and his wife Megan, Josh Edward Mixson and his wife Amy, Julie Bazzle Allen and her husband Michael, Jan Bazzle Still and her husband Jason, Crystal White and her husband Duane, and Allison Bracewell and her husband Michael; and great nieces and great nephews, Matthew Allen, Myles Allen, Haley Bazzle, Baley Bazzle, Ansley Grace Still, Reece Still, Jesse Mixson, Christian White, Ethan White, Murphy Bracewell, and Everly Bracewell. He was preceded in death by his brother, Derrill Marion Bazzle; sister, Barbara Ann Hodge; and brothers-in-law, J.E. Mixson and Joe Thomason. Funeral services were held 5 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, August 1, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Ehrhardt. The Reverend Gordon Ackerman officiated. Interment followed in St. Nicholas Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements By: The Brice W.
