A two-vehicle accident on Highway 15, just south of Academy Road sent two people to the hospital on Tuesdays morning June 4th. The Witnesses reported that a northbound Honda Accord, turned into the path of a southbound Chevrolet pickup truck. The car spun around and then drove back across all five lanes of the highway before stopping in the woods. The female driver suffered multiple trauma injuries and was found unconscious and in cardiac arrest. She was removed from the vehicle and resuscitated at the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics transported her to Colleton Medical Center in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Colleton Medical Center. The accident is being investigated by the SC Hwy Patrol.
