A Saturday Morning August 24th shooting at Colleton Heights Apartments, left one man deceased. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics on duty at Station # 1 heard multiple gunshots from the direction of the apartment complex. The crew drove over to the area and were on the scene when 911 received calls and dispatched to the shooting. Law Enforcement Officers from Walterboro City Police and the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office found a semi-conscious adult male laying on the ground in the parking lot near the Sniders Hwy entrance. They began treatment of his multiple wounds and rushed him to Colleton Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The Walterboro Police Dept. is handling the investigation.
