A truck driver was seriously injured in a single vehicle wreck on Northbound I-95 near the 48 mile marker. The Kenworth vacuum truck suffered a front tire blowout, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The truck left the highway, drove down the right shoulder, and overturned as it began to reenter the roadway. The truck came to rest on its side, blocking 1-1/2 lanes of the Interstate. The driver suffered multiple, non-life threatening injuries and was able to crawl out of the windshield on his own. He was treated at the scene by Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics and transported to Colleton Medical Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
