Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire behind a business on Hampton Street. Fire units and Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location but there was no fire found. Units began searched the area and l located the fire in a singlewide mobile home on the 300 block of Edgewood Street. On arrival heavy smoke was visible and flames were coming from the roof. Crews brought the fire under control.
No one was at home when the fire occurred, and it is believed the occupants were in the process of moving out. The home suffered substantial damage. The fire appears to have originated in the living room. The cause is under investigation.
