A neighbor alerted 9-1-1 to a building that was on fire on Rehoboth Road on Friday May 10th. Colleton County Fire-Rescue arrived to find a single-story wood frame residence well involved. The roof had already collapsed, indicating the building had been on fire for some time. Firefighter-Paramedics fire knocked down the fire within 15 minutes. Officials report that it appeared the fire originated in the front room of the residence. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
