Mr. Donald Wayne Williams, Sr., 91, of Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday morning, January 4, 2024, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Mary Allred Williams, to whom he was married 68 years at the time of her passing in July of 2023.
Born March 13, 1932, in Bennettsville, he was the son of the late Rosco Williams and Ruth Davis Wilson. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and also served in the South Carolina Army National Guard. He was a retired welder. Mr. Don was a member of Unity Lodge No. 55 - Ancient Free Masons and was a lifetime member of Walterboro Lodge No. 1988 - Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Surviving are: his children, Donald “Donnie” Williams, Jr. (Joan), Tina Hales (Mark), and Terry Price (Mike), all of Walterboro; grandchildren, Christy Barwick (Terry), Michael Price (Stephanie), Mark Hales (Candace), Jessica Reeves (Jeffrey), Danielle Harrison (Steven), Katlynn Adams (Andrew); many great grandchildren; a very special niece, Patricia “Pat” Burklew of Vero Beach, Florida; and a host of great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel “Danny” Williams; and grandson, Joseph Williams.
