Mrs. Donna Lynne Driggers Smyly, 66, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her residence. Born August 4, 1957, in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Frank Driggers and Annie Lee Munn Driggers. She was the owner and operator of Smyly’s Cleaning Service, serving mostly the Hilton Head area. She had also worked as a weaver at Asten Hill. Donna dearly loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and her dog, Spot, and centered her life around her family. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, and cooking “big” meals for the family. She also enjoyed spending time in the pool. Surviving are: her husband Gregory Scott Smyly of Ruffin; sons, Mark Jacques of Cottageville and Allen Jacques (Sam) of Cottageville; daughter-in-law, Rachel Jacques of Cottageville; grandsons, Quay Jacques, A.J. Jacques, and Shawn Jacques; brother, David Driggers of Goose Creek; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Herndon (Benjie) of Ruffin and Kathy Smyly of Ruffin; brother-in-law, John Rounds; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Frankie Jacques; sisters, Marian Rounds and Sandy Florence; and brothers-in-law, Tony Smyly and Leon Florence. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday afternoon, March 16, 2024, from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock at The Brice W.
