Mrs. Sandy O’Quinn Ulmer, 70, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday evening, June 11, 2022, at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. 

Born September 6, 1951, in Colleton County, South Carolina, she the daughter of the late Dan and Mary Ellen Smoak O’Quinn.   She centered her life around her family, being a dedicated wife to her husband and always providing for her children and grandchildren.   She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Walterboro and for the past nine years of her life had been homebound because of failing health. 

Surviving are: her husband of fifty-four years, Mr. Ray H. Ulmer; three children; Wendy DeWitt and her husband Timothy, Jenny Horton and her husband Frank, and Joshua Ulmer and his wife Nicole; nine grandchildren, Hailey DeWitt, Justus DeWitt, Harmoni DeWitt, Josh “Ethan” Ulmer, Cody Ulmer, Charlie Rae Ulmer, Sydney Widrick, Rhiannon W. Smith and Jesse Horton; and two brothers, Jerry O’Quinn and Dan O’Quinn.  

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Wednesday morning, June 15, 2022, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.   Pastor Johnathan Mixson officiating.   Interment will follow in the Fender Cemetery, Ulmer Lake Road, Walterboro.
