Mrs. Alice Ackerman Robertson, 84, of Ridgeville, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, August 13, 2023 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles Edward Robertson, Sr. Born October 6, 1938, in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Nelie Cinclair Ackerman and Pearl Catherine Faulkner Ackerman. “Nana” dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Palmetto Exterminators and also worked in the Accounting Department at Colleton Regional Hospital for many years. A faithful and dedicated member of Maple Cane Baptist Church, she was a member of the church choir and the secretary of WMU. Her life was centered around her love for Jesus Christ. She enjoyed helping with the Meals on Wheels program and Angel Food Ministries. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. You could see her every morning sipping her coffee on the porch with her plants and hummingbirds. She also had the brightest yard on Peirce Road with her holiday lights. Surviving are: her children, Kathy Robertson Murdaugh of Islandton, Eddie Robertson and his wife Margie of Cottageville, and Timmy Robertson and his wife Pam of Ridgeville; grandchildren, Kevin Murdaugh, Lindsey Mixon (Murray), Derek Murdaugh (Cathy), Kimberly Scanlon (Matt), Britni Jones (Henry), and Jamie Robertson (Alessandra); great grandchildren, Cali, Bryce, and Riggs Mixon, Grayson Jones, Ace and Annalise Robertson, and Lily Grace Scanlon who is due in December; and a sister, Marilyn Redmond (Legree) of Hanahan. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, O.D. Murdaugh. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maple Cane Baptist Church Meals on Wheels Program, 21324 Augusta Highway, Cottageville, South Carolina 29435. Funeral services will be held 11:30, Wednesday morning, August 16, 2023, at Maple Cane Baptist Church, 21324 Augusta Highway, Cottageville.  Interment will follow in Bridge Cemetery, Nightingale Lane, Round O. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 o’clock in the church sanctuary. Arrangements By: The Brice W.
