Mrs. Janie Pauline Fisk Preacher, 90, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Wednesday evening, December 20, 2023, at Colleton Medical Center. She was the wife of the late William Harold Preacher, Sr.
Born December 11, 1933, in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Harry Fisk and Ethel Herndon Fisk. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church No.1. She was a homemaker and had worked for many years at the Smoaks Dress Plant. She loved spending time with her family, was always kind, and was always there when you needed her.
Surviving are: her children, William Harold Preacher, Sr. and his wife Betty of Ruffin, Berry Wayne Preacher of Ruffin, Mary Ellen Preacher of Ruffin, and Karen Darlene Preacher Parrott of Walterboro; grandson, Brad Godley and his wife Emma, and their daughter, Ansley Godley, along with many other grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Crosby of Walterboro; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Charles Edward Parrott; granddaughter, Casey Darlene Parrott; and her siblings, Chester Fisk, Shuler Fisk, and Rumell Infinger
Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, December 23, 2023, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pine Grove Road, Ruffin.
