WALTERBORO: Jeannette Imelda Narvaez, daughter of Silverio and Carmen Imelda Gomez De Narvaez, passed away Tuesday evening, December 5, 2023 at the Colleton Medical Center. She was 62.
Jeannette was born in Caracas, Venezuela December 26, 1960. She received a Bachelors Degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona before furthering her studies at the Central University of Venezuela, where she earned a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Jeannette was an educator for many years with Select Health, and was known for her generous spirit and her willingness to help anyone in need. She was a member of Seacoast Church in West Ashley, loved the beach, and enjoyed fine dining and nice clothes. She was a devoted mother, daughter and sister who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son Isaac Narvaez Gomez. She has five siblings: Bethsaida Narvaez, Sara Hay, Saul Narvaez, Jose David Narvaez and Silverio A. Narvaez.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, December 16, 2023 at 2:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 at the funeral home. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
