SMOAKS: William Boyd Morris Jr. passed away at his home in Smoaks Saturday morning, December 2, 2023 after a lifelong battle with cerebral palsy. He was 57.
William was born in Asheville, NC April 11, 1966 a son of the late William and Barbara Annette Hall Morris. He was loved by everyone, he always found the good in people, and his smile brightened the lives of friends and strangers alike. William loved to travel, attend church, sing, and make arts and crafts. He cherished his family because they were always there to take care of him, and he fought every health issue he had during his life with bravery and strength. He took great joy in proving the opinions of his doctors wrong about his prognosis on countless occasions. He will truly be missed.
William is survived by his sister Karen Morris Campbell, his brother-in-law Shane Campbell, and his uncle Robert Hall, as well as extended family and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, December 10, 2023 at 3:00 at the Smoaks Baptist Church. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the sanctuary, and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
