Mrs. Alice Bishop Lyons, 82, of the Colston Community of Bamberg, entered into rest Friday morning, March 8, 2024, at her residence.   Born March 26, 1941, in Bamberg County, she was a daughter of the late George Cecil Bishop and the late Sarah Juanita Clayton Bishop.  She worked for many years as a waitress.   She was twice married, first to the late Mr. Jimmie Howard Lyons to whom she was married to for fifty-nine years at the time of his death in 2015, and then in 2019, she married her old friend and childhood sweetheart, Mr. Ben Henry McMillan.   She was an active and devoted member of Welch Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and the ladies club.   She dearly loved her church as well as the people who made her church so special.   Alice enjoyed singing and often sang along with her late husband, Howard at many church services, revivals, and special occasions.  She was an avid fisher and was also an excellent cook, always sharing the delectables of her kitchen with those she loved. Surviving in addition to her husband, Henry are: a son, Timothy Terrell Lyons (Lynn) of Olar; a brother, Jacob Bishop of Ravenel; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Marsh Lyons; and a brother, Roger Cecil Bishop.  The family has requests that memorials be directed in her memory to:  Welch Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 536 Welch Creek Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o’clock Monday afternoon, March 11, 2024, from Welch Creek Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.    Arrangements By: The Brice W.
