Mrs. Vivian Garvin Linder, 86, of Smoaks, wife of the late Leonard James Linder, died Saturday. Born July 8, 1937, in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Thurman and Louise Crosby Garvin. She had worked at Smoaks Manufacturing and retired from DAYCO. Surviving are: children, Mary Jennings (John), Michael Linder (Janice), Steve Linder, and Robert Linder; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and brothers, T. W. Garvin, Walter Garvin, and Sammy Garvin. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary; and sisters, Erma and Shirley. Funeral services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Buckhead Advent Christian Church, Smoaks. Interment will follow in Little Swamp United Methodist Church Cemetery, 17465 Hunters Chapel Road, Smoaks. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at The Brice W.
