WALTERBORO: Mrs. Nancy Crosby Lee, wife of Don Lee, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, March 16, 2024 at her home under hospice care, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 72.  

Nancy was born in Walterboro March 29, 1951, a daughter of the late Edna Elizabeth “Lib” Warren Crosby and Herman H. Crosby Sr.  She graduated from Walterboro High School, and then attended Bauder Fashion College in Atlanta, GA, where she graduated with honors.  She spent twenty-eight years working for the South Carolina Employment Security Commission (Job Service) and served as the assistant area director before her diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease forced her to retire.  Nancy battled the disease with courage and determination until her passing, and she served as a source of inspiration to all of her family and friends.  

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Tiffanie Palmer, by her grandchildren Morgan Alexis Lee, and Chelsea and Chance Palmer, and by her brother Miles Crosby and his wife Bonnie.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Herman Crosby Jr., W. Craig Crosby, and Wanda Wright.  She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.  

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, March 21, 2024 at 2:00 at Sandy Dam United Methodist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 in the church social hall.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
