Mrs. Mary Helen Adams- King, who a daughter of the late Asbury Cleveland Adams and Ruemell Bingley- Adams was born on November 1, 1944 in Round O, South Carolina. She peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. At a very young age, Mary joined Galilee Baptist Church. Her education began in Colleton County where she obtained her High School diploma in 1962. After graduation Mary then moved to Bronx, New York. Later in life, Mary returned home to Round O, South Carolina to be surrounded by family. In 1972, Mary married Cornel King and together they raised three daughters and one son. Mary dedicated her life to her family and community, always lending a helping hand and making a positive impact wherever she went. Preceding her in death is her beloved husband Cornel King and her two brothers; Howard and Harry Adams. She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children Nina Stephens of Tampa, Florida, Kara Adams, Tonya Adams and Doug King of Bronx New York; as well as her grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Jenera, Javon, Tyree, Joshua and Janaya; doting siblings Eddie Adams (Alice) Florida Jimmy Adams (Juanita) of South Carolina Vivian Adams, of Ohio, Johnny Ray Adams and Sister-in-law Sennie Mae Adams of New York and a host of nieces , nephews , and family.
