Mrs. Bobbie Jean Hatfield, 91, of Walterboro, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was the wife of the late Charles S. Hatfield, Jr. Born March 28, 2024, in Leeds, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Melvin T. Wood and Lois Mims Wood. She was an employee of the SC State Parks System and retired from the Colleton County School District. Surviving are: her children, Barbara Dale Bynum (Bill) of Brevard, North Carolina, and Judie Salisbury (Kevin) of Walterboro; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Samuel “Butch” Hatfield, III; brothers, Floyd Wood and James Wood; and a sister, Verona Martin.
