Men denied bond in triple homicide case

Justin Dupont and Jameek Glover appeared before Magistrate Court Judge

Roosevelt Jenkins in Colleton County Magistrate Court regarding the triple homicide that took the lives of 49 year old Harvel Breland, 43 year old Alisha Gardner, and 2 year old Asiyra Cole.

The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jameek Glover June 4, and he was originally charged with accessory after the fact of murder and has since been charged with three counts of homicide in this case. Justin Dupont who was subsequently arrested June 18 was also charged with three counts of homicide.

Both men appeared in Colleton County Magistrate Court where Judge Roosevelt denied bond due to jurisdictional circumstances for Glover and Dupont. Bill Ballard spoke on behalf of the family of Harvel Breland, Alisha Gardner, and Asyira Cole asking no bond be issued. A victim’s advocate also spoke. The mothers for the two defendants were also present and commented they were there to support their sons.

Judge Roosevelt ruled that the defendants be detained until they were to appear August 9, 2024 when they would appear before the circuit court judge.

The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to look for a third suspect in this case. The family of the Asiyra Cole have also issued an award for $20,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the murders.
