Mrs. Alice Varn Cinader, 85, of Round O, entered into rest eternal Thursday morning, June 20, 2024, at her residence.  
Born August 11, 1938, in beautiful Denmark, South Carolina, a town that affectionately knew her as “Sister Varn”, she was the daughter of the late Miles Herbert Varn, Jr. and the late Alice Green Varn.  Alice was a graduate of the College of Charleston and also received her Dental Hygienist degree from Tennessee University School of Medicine. For nearly the past forty-five years, Alice and her husband Steve, made the Lowcountry of South Carolina their home where she worked as a dental hygienist and retired from the Charleston Naval Base.   She was a faithful member of Saint Jude’s Church in Walterboro, where she was an active member of the Daughters of The King and was formerly a member of the handbell choir.  After retirement, she began as a licensed broker with the selling and buying of stocks and bonds, and also as a licensed realtor having been a partner in Jones, Bishop, and Cinader Realty Company. 
Alice loved people and was always willing to do for others.  She along with her husband volunteered their time in ministering to the sick at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.  She would also volunteer her time at the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro.   She was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks – Walterboro Lodge, No. 1988, The American Legion – Post 93 in Walterboro, as well as the Domestic Rabbit Breeders Association because of her love for raising Angora Rabbits. 
Surviving are: her husband, the light and love of her life for fifty-nine years, Mr. Stephen D. Cinader, Sr.; three sons, Varn E. Keith (Valerie) of Round O, Kenneth H. Keith (Faye) of Summerville, and Stephen D. Cinader, Jr. of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Kayle Tortora (Justin), Christina Reed, and Holly Delauder; three great grandchildren, Baelynn Tortora, Adelina Tortora, and T.J. Beach; a daughter-in-law, Missy Keitha sister-in-law, Mattie Varn; a brother-in-law, Michael Cinader (Tammy);  a special cousin, Robert J. Surface (Salley); and two god-daughters, Sarah Surface and Helen Surface.  She was preceded in death by a son, Perry Houston Keith and her brother, Dr. Miles Herbert Varn, III.

Funeral services were held at 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, June 25, 2024, from Saint Jude’s Church, Walterboro.   The Reverend John Scott officiated.     The Final Commendation followed in the family cemetery located at their beloved home, Woodford Plantation in Round O.
