Mr. James Ricky Hunt, 63, of Walterboro, entered into rest Sunday afternoon, December 26, 2021, at his residence.
Born March 25, 1958, in Lake Wells, Florida, he was a son of the late James Luther Hunt and the late Vivian Powell Hunt. He was a tree surgeon and outdoorsman. He dearly loved hunting and fishing and will always be remembered for the love he possessed for his family, especially his grandchildren. Ricky was a simple, hardworking, and very outspoken man.
Surviving are: his wife of forty-five years, Mrs. Wanda Lyons Hunt; three children, Ricky Hunt, Jr. (Stacey) of Cottageville, B. J. Hunt (Shelli) of Walterboro, and Rachel Scheffer (Ian) of Summerville; two brothers, Bryan Hunt of Walterboro and Pastor Daryl Hunt (Dianne) of Walterboro; a sister, Cynthia Hunt of Charleston; and five grandchildren, Makayla Hunt, Austin Hunt, Liliane Scheffer, Annalee Hunt, and Jonathan Hunt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Wednesday morning, December 29, 2021, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony at the funeral home.
