Mrs. Wanda Faith Lyons Hunt, 63, of Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday evening, April 13, 2023, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Mr. James Ricky Hunt. Born November 9, 1959, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Danie and LaVerne Kinard Lyons. She was a longtime employee of Dukes in Walterboro, where she was well known by the locals of a community she dearly loved. She centered her life around her family and immensely enjoyed traveling and going to the beach. She was an excellent cook and was also well known for delicious pound cakes. Surviving are: three children, Ricky Hunt, Jr. (Stacey) of Cottageville, B. J. Hunt (Shelli) Walterboro, and Rachel Scheffer (Ian) of Summerville; two brothers, David Lyons and Nick Lyons both of Walterboro; a sister, Hope Thompson of Walterboro; and five grandchildren, MaKayla Hunt, Austin Hunt, Liliane Scheffer, Annalee Hunt, and Jonathan Hunt. She is also survived by a large host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as many whom she considered family and loved dearly. Funeral services were conducted 11 o’clock Friday morning, April 21, 2023, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.
