Mr. Robert LaRoy Hannah, 89, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 23, 2024, at his residence. Born November 21, 1934, in Pensacola, Florida, he was a son of the late Clifford LaRoy Hannah and Jessie Mae Cumbie Parker.  He was a truck driver and retired after 63 years.  He was a member of The Church of God in Hanahan, where he was a church Elder and one of the 72 prophets.  He loved telling others about the love of Jesus.  Before he became too ill, he spoke monthly at The Special Gathering, a ministry for the special needs community.  He also loved fishing and wood crafting.  Most of all, he loved his Lord and his family.  He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are: his wife of 62 years, Robbie Joyce Vradenburg Hannah of Walterboro; children, Barton L. Hannah (Toria) of Walterboro, Renea Hannah (Alex) of Walterboro, Linda Goldsmith (Rob) of Virginia, and Brenda Cross (Larry) of Tennessee; 4 grandchildren, Derek Busbin of Tennessee, Dana Kline (Harry) of Washington DC, Jonothan Goldsmith of Virginia, and a very special granddaughter, Sheila M. Hannah of Walterboro; step mother, Eula G. Hannah of Mississippi; and step siblings, Debbie Castillo of Mississippi and Ricky Dykes of Mississippi.  He was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Pharris; daughter, Melody Hannah; grandson, Justin Kennedy; brother, James Odell Hannah; and step siblings, Elaine B. Hicks and Wayne Morgan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a ministry that was very dear to Mr. Robert: The Special Gathering, Post Office Box 332, Cottageville, South Carolina 29435.
