Carroll Edwin Coker, 74, of Walterboro, left this world peacefully with a heart full of love and walked through Heaven’s gates Saturday, October 21, 2023, at his home.

Born March 10, 1949, in Florence, South Carolina to the late Ira Mae Coker and Wilbur Cleon Coker. Carroll served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force. He received his degree in Civil Engineering and worked in several companies before starting his own company, Coker Transport, which he and his wife ran until he retired in 2008. Carroll loved fishing, camping, and the Atlanta Braves, but most of all he loved his family and friends. He was a member of the Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church where he loved singing for the Lord.

Surviving are: his wife of 39 years, Veronica Coker; his children, Nikki Dennis (Larry), Katrina McCarter (Nathan), Andrea Olerud, and Darrell Coker (Shelly); twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Coker was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Anthony Coker and Wilbur Cleon Coker, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church, 24576 Augusta Hwy, Cottageville, SC 29435.

Funeral services with military honors will be held 2 o’clock, Monday afternoon, October 30, 2023, at Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church.
