Mr. Chris Edward Sauls, 49, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Thursday evening, October 7, 2021 at Colleton Medical Center.

Born May 6, 1972 in Varnville, he was the son of the late Mary “Lillie” Mae Brown Sauls.  He was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School.  Chris was a Foreman for IP Builders of Walterboro.  He was also the crew chief and head mechanic for IP Racing.  Chris’ jobs were more than just a job to him.  He loved to work, whether he was building something on a job site or working on a car at the dirt track.  He also loved helping his best friend, Ian, work on the farm.  Most of all, he loved his son and being able to spend time with him. 

Surviving are: his son, Raymond Christopher “CJ” Sauls of Nixville, fiancé, April Masselis of Columbia; niece, Savanna Sauls; nephew, James Sauls; best friend, Ian Padgett and his wife Erin and their sons, Gavin and River; uncle, John Edward “Bubba” Brown and his wife Mabel of Hampton and Dale Davis (Maggie) of Hampton; aunt, Minnie Bolton of Hampton; and several cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mom; grandparents, Clarence “Shot” Brown and Rosa Herlene Barnes Brown of Hampton; aunt, Maggie Herlene Davis of Hampton; uncle, James Edward “Blue” Bolton of Hampton; and a cousin, Marion Carl “Mac” Bolton.

Graveside funeral services were held 4 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, October 10, 2021 at Sandy Run Cemetery, Hampton.
