Mrs. Myra Ray Blume, 80, of Givhans, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, April 21, 2023, at her residence. Born February 24, 1943, in Kershaw, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James Ray and Gladys McNaughton Ray.  She graduated from Summerville High School in 1961 and then graduated from a business school in Columbia. She retired from Westvaco where she had worked in the accounting department for over 30 years.  Mrs. Myra was a dedicated and faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Givhans. At her church, she was active with the Prayer Shaw Ministry, United Methodist Women, and Meals on Wheels.  She also enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, and knitting.  Surviving are: her husband of 60 years, Joseph Jeffery Blume, Sr. of Givhans; sons, Joseph “Jody” J. Blume, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Summerville and Stevie Woodrow Blume of Givhans; grandchildren, Chad Wood, Baylee Blume, Chelsey Blume, and Trey Blume; brother, Larry Ray of Johnston; sister, Sybil Dawkins and her husband Paul of Pelion; and her dear, special friends, Betty and Marshall Lockridge of Shelby, North Carolina as well as many others throughout the Givhans community.   Funeral services were held 2 pm, Monday, April 24, 2023, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment followed at Little Swamp United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family is requesting donations to be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Givhans, South Carolina.  Arrangements By: The Brice W.
