Mr. J. Wade Allen, 83, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Colleton Medical Center. He was born April 18, 1940, in Whiteville, North Carolina and was a retired Business Manager for Orangeburg County-Holly Hill School District. Surviving are: his wife of thirty-five years, Mrs. Dawn Poteat Allen of Cottageville; and his sister, Francis Love of St. Petersburg, Florida. Funeral services were held 3 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, March 9, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment followed in Fox Cemetery, Cottageville.
