Ronnie Ray Worley, 74, of Smoaks, entered into eternal rest early Thursday morning, June 6, 2024, at Ralph H. Johnson Medical Center. He was born April 27, 1950, in Rogersville, Missouri to the late Carroll Burl Worley and Florance Ester Horten Worley. Ronnie was a United States Air Force veteran who served from 1968 to 1975. During his enlistment he served in Vietnam, Charleston, and Dover, Delaware. Once he left the military, he spent his working life as a mechanic and a truck driver. He worked for John Smith Logging Company until he moved on as an independent trucker. Surviving Ronnie is his wife of 52 years, Deborah Jackson Worley of Smoaks; his children, Anita Rentz and her husband Marion of Ruffin, Ronnie Worley, Jr., of Smoaks, Consuala Lenett Worley of Smoaks, and William Worley of Smoaks; his sisters, Naomi Knowles of Trenton, Missouri, Mabel Meier and her husband Frank of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, and Edith Ridge of Marshfield, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Ronnie in death are his three brothers; two sisters; and a daughter-in-law, Christy Worley. A graveside service will be held at 5 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, June 11, 2024, at The Worley Family Cemetery, 2415 Lodge Highway, Smoaks, South Carolina, 29481. Arrangements by:  The Brice W.
