Mrs. Betty Price Throckmorton, 92, of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday morning, August 1, 2023, at Summerville Community Hospice. Born March 21, 1931, in Meigs County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Chester Pruden Price and the late Elsie Mae Woodrum Price. She served as the Chief Financial Officer at a senior citizens center and was a member of Saint James/Santee Parish Episcopal Church in McClellanville. She was also a licensed private pilot as well as a licensed home builder. Surviving are: a daughter, Leslie Throckmorton of McClellanville and a sister, Laura Schmitt and her husband Larry of Ritter. She was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Schmitt. Funeral services were conducted 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, August 4, 2023, from the graveside in Temple Cemetery near Albany, Ohio.
