Baseball season is getting close and the ‘Boro Braves 11U are back out on the field getting ready for the upcoming season.
Head Coach for the Braves is Brandon Seagrove and he spoke with Sports Contributor Vernon Gilbert about his team. “We have a very good organization, a lot of hard working young men, a lot of talented young men.” Seagrove takes pride in the coaching staff
helping these young men on and off the field. “They know they can call me day or night if they have questions about anything, and Coach
will be there to help them and mentor them on and off the field. With a laugh Coach Seagrove jokes, “my guys love me, what can I say!”
Gilbert was also to speak with some of the players on the team.
Jaxson Rivers (#11) plays 3rd base for the
‘Boro Braves. Rivers wants to get “better at
baseball later on in my career and play longer
for travel ball team, and I think it’s a really
good organization.”
Jensen Shrewsbury (#5) plays shortstop for the ‘Boro Braves. Shrewsbury gave a shout out to his teammates for “being respectful and good baseball players.”
Rylee Jacobs (#13) holds down 1st base for the Braves. “This organization is a really great opportunity to get better at baseball and later help you get better in your career if you want to encourage yourself to play better. I want to give a shoutout to my coaches because they want to build you up instead of building you down. I also want to give a shout out to my teammates because they won’t let me go down without a fight.”
The ‘Boro Braves sound like they are on their way to a good season.
