The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 23-year-old Brian Brookes, Jr. in connection with the September 15th shooting that left a 9-year-old girl injured on Buffalo Lane in Walterboro.
The Colleton County Sheriff’s office reported that Brookes was taken into custody without incident on September 17th. He is charged with attempted murder, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, unlawful conduct toward a child, discharging a firearm into a dwelling, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Brookes is being held at the Colleton County Jail and has been denied bond.
