Julie Epple is no stranger to the Colleton County community. She was born and raised in Long Island, New York, where she met and married Joe Epple. She graduated from Central Islip High School on Long Island. After moving to South Carolina in 1977, she attended the College of Charleston. She worked with nutritionist Dr. Herbert Eller in Atlanta. Julie has owned and operated No Junk Julie’s (a health store in Walterboro) for over 36 years. She is a God-fearing woman who organizes and participates in regular community drives, programs, and Bible study for the general public and fellow believers. Because Julie’s delegation skills are second to none, she gets things done efficiently. She is referred to as “Our fearless leader” by “Team Bill,” who cared for her stepfather for at least 7 years. Most people would not guess this, but Julie is a Foodie, meaning she loves the variety of foods. Julie’s unfaltering belief system and servant heart gives way for a wonderful homemaker, caregiver, and business leader. Her love for animals and care for people show how much she gives of herself. Julie always believes there is room for one more. She is a philanthropist because of her generous spirit, which has helped many people over the years. Julie Epple is well-loved and appreciated as a wife, friend, member, entrepreneur, bookkeeper, and “Our Beloved Town Crier.”
