Fire-Rescue units responded to a structure fire at 194 Siegler Drive Monday March 30 at 4 p.m.
The first unit arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a singlewide mobile home with flames venting from the rear of the structure. Crews deployed one 1-3/4 handline and quickly knocked down the fire in the kitchen. The remainder of the home suffered smoke and heat damage.
The fire originated on the stove.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and was released.
The Sheriff’s Office is looking in the circumstances surrounding the fire.
Units were on the scene for two hours.
