The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office welcomed well over 1,000 local children to the Annual Trunk or Treat on October 29 at the department parking lot.
Community organizations, local businesses, first responders, and county departments turned out to celebrate Halloween with the community. The event extended almost an hour past its wrap-up time just to accommodate the massive crowd.
Sheriff Buddy Hill said he was very pleased with the turnout.
In addition to candy and other treats, the Sheriff’s Department handed out hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks to the enthusiastic crowd. The Sheriff’s Office collected more than 69,107 pieces of candy this year.
