Monday, December the 19th, The Sheriff’s Office, Bee City Zoo, the Corvette Club and Lowcountry Community Action Agency held its Third Annual Colleton Cares Toys to Share Event. The group took 30 kids to Walmart, shopping for Christmas. The project continued Tuesday, when they brought another set of 37 kids down to the sheriff’s office to disperse the toys that were collected throughout the community.
Participants are picked from each elementary school throughout the county by the School Resource Officer (SRO) and the principal.
