The Walterboro Christmas Parade took centerstage on Sunday December 7. Despite the rain and cold temperatures, residents turned out to see the parade of illuminated parade participants. Law Enforcement led the parade with the NJROTC Honor Guard and the Colleton County Band of Blue with their lighted uniforms put the crowd gathered to see the parade in the Christmas spirit. The Rice Festival Beauty Queens on their festive float and the Rice Festival train leading the way was a crowd favorite and local churches brought the spirit of Christmas with multiple floats celebrating the reason for the season. Businesses, clubs and civic organizations all participated. The parade wrapped up with vehicles from Colleton County Fire-Rescue and Walterboro Fire Department wrapped up the parade with Santa Claus taking his traditional spot on the back of the 1930 Fire Engine.
