The Yellow Jacket Prayer Walk will take place on Saturday, September 26th to kick off the 2026-2027 school year. The event will begin at the First Baptist Church parking lot on Memorial Avenue in Downtown Walterboro with a 7:30 a.m. sign-in and an 8 a.m. start time. The group will walk to the Local District Educational Office at 500 Forest Circle. Event organizers said, “We want to surround the District Office in prayer for all educators and students for the 2026-2027 school year. As we walk, we will pass the Colleton County Courthouse, Forest Hills Elementary School, and many homes. Please come ready to pray earnestly and deeply for the needs of our community, educators, students, and families.”
A large trailer will be available for anyone who would like to attend but may not be able to walk the entire route. This event is open to anyone who would like to join in as they pray for our schools, students, educators, families, and community.
