Community members and first responders came together on Tuesday, October 6th, to participate in National Night Out.
The First Baptist Church activity field was filled with law enforcement, community organizations, and local businesses, distributing candy, books, information, and items for the children. Food was served by the Colleton County Sheriff’s Department, who were on hand with their grill.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes community partnership with first responders and neighborhood camaraderie to make our community a safer, more caring place to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and first responders while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring first responders and neighbors together in a positive environment.
