Cindy Mock reopened The Southern Lady on September 25. Mock operated the original store for 11 years at the 46 Green Pond Highway location until she closed to take care of family. Mock says she is very happy to reopen, “I decided it was time to come back into my store. It missed me, and I missed it. It's just absolutely wonderful to be back."
Mock has a varied inventory she explains, “I have such a variety right now. I will have a garden shed coming, as my customers well know. That'll be coming in the spring, and then I also have another shabby chic room that'll be coming a little later. Right now, you'll find some antiques, jewelry, and some vintage jewelry. We have a men's section that we carry a lot of men's stuff. I have, like, the ducks and knives and things like that for the guys.”
Mock adds, “It's just been a labor of love this summer trying to get it open. I couldn't have done it without my husband Charlie, and my friend Sherry, and my friend Barbara helping me." The Southern Lady is again located at its original location at 46 Green Pond Highway, with parking on the left side of the building.
