Salvatore Inglese, 98, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest Monday afternoon, June 12, 2023, at the Veterans Victory House.
Salvatore was born December 16, 1924, in Bridge Port, Connecticut; he was the son to the late Mariano Inglese and the late Giuseppina “Josephine” Zaccaria Inglese.
Salvatore proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by: his sons, Mario Inglese , Christopher Inglese (Asmae), and Dominick Inglese (Alpana-rai); his daughter, Regina Inglese (Mouhssine); his grandchildren, Noah Inglese, Cecilia Inglese, Kanak Rai and Sami and Nora Tadlaoui-Cherki a sister, Lillian Inglese; nephew, Dr. Christopher Inglese (Debbie); nieces, Diane Larkin (Jimmy), Paula Reger and Christine Bonet; and a great nephew, James M. Sanders (Courtney). He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, Lauren Inglese, Lindsey Inglese, Christopher Inglese and Eric Inglese; great-great nieces and nephews, James L. Sanders, Emma-Jane Sanders; as well as many friends and dear loved ones.
A memorial mass service will be held 1 o’clock, Tuesday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd, Charleston. Inurnment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston.
