Happy Birthday Ms. Jackson

Friends and family gathered September 27th to celebrate the 65th birthday of Ms. Loretta Jackson. The event was held at the Ray T. Johnson Center. Ms. Jackson’s favorite color is purple, and it was reflected in the beautiful decorations. Purple tablecloths covered tables with softer purple napkins set atop gold chargers all accompanied by purple and clear crystal stemmed glassware. Elegant centerpieces completed the very stylish décor.

Ms. Jackson wished to spend her birthday with friends and family and feed them a wonderful meal. Through funds from Annual Committed to Caring Challenge the staff at Pruitt Healthcare was able to grant Ms. Jackson’s wish. Catered by Belly Full by Tyger, Ms. Jackson and company were treated to a fried seafood smorgasbord. Fried fish fillets, fried shrimp, crab legs with rice and side dishes filled the room with wonderful smells and smiling faces. I was informed that the fried oysters were for Ms. Jackson and Ms. Jackson only, and that was the only food item she would not be sharing.

Ms. Jackson is a beloved resident at Pruitt. She loves to reminiscence about her time working in the hospitality industry particularly with Marriott. She loves to travel and “back in the day” could be found journeying to Savannah and other small cities and local areas. Ever the lady, Ms. Loretta loves to dress stylishly and must have her nails done.

In a heartfelt blessing Ms. Jackson’s son Harold expressed love and thankfulness to his mother for being a nurturer to all those who came to honor her. Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends came to join in the celebration.
