Get to know #yourColletonFirefighter Jaron Cain on #firefighterfriday. Firefighter EMT Cain is assigned to Stations 8 and 13 on “D” Shift. Here is more information on Firefighter EMT Cain:

Jaron joined Colleton County Fire-Rescue in August of 2021. He is assigned to Station 8 and 13 serving the Jonesville and Hendersonville communities. Prior to being hired by CCFR, Jaron worked for Goodwin University as part of the CE team. The team instructed students on numerous manufacturing techniques that include: 3D printing, welding, laser engraving, and CNC machining. In addition to manufacturing techniques, the team worked with Pratt and Whiter in aviation technology and robotics. These educators traveled to other educational institutions to present and demonstrate the various pieces of machinery. Jaron’ friend, a firefighter with their hometown fire department, inspired him to join the fire service. He received his formal training and was hired by the Town of Vernon Fire Department (Connecticut) assigned to Engine 3. Jaron later took a position with Manchester 8th District Fire Company (Connecticut) assigned to Engine Company 1. Four years later, Jaron relocated to South Carolina after accepting a position with Colleton County Fire-Rescue.

Jaron enjoys building computers and training in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and boxing.
