This week’s #firefighter is Damontre Ferguson. Firefighter/EMT Ferguson joined the department in 2017 as an explorer. In April of this year, Tre transferred to the Logistic Division and currently serves as a Logistician. Here is a more about FF/EMT Ferguson:

Tre is a lifelong Colletonian and loves his community. Tre’s older brother, Eric, joined Colleton County Fire-Recue’s Explorer Program, and listening to his stories is what motivated Tre to join the department. During his time as an explorer, Tre’s interest grew. He was very active, attended classes, and was eager to learn more. After a brief time in retail, Ferguson applied to Colleton and was hired as a career firefighter assigned to D-Shift. During his time on D-shift, Tre was on different rotations serving the Candays, Cottageville, and Green Pond communities. He transitioned to the 24 hour shift, and in 2023 took on a new role as a Logistician. In his current role, Tre is responsible to handing out supplies to his fellow firefighters. Supplies range from toilet paper to rescue tools and everything in between to make sure the firefighters have everything they need in the stations and on the streets.

In his spare time, Tre likes baking, getting outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his family and girlfriend, Ayona. For more information visit Colleton County Fire Rescue Facebook.
