Mrs. Betty Sue Williams Wilson, 87, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday morning, April 16, 2024, at the John E. Harter Nursing Center in Fairfax.  She was the wife of the late William “Bill” Kenneth Wilson. Born September 2, 1936, in Ruffin, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late George Clinton Williams and Josephine Brock Williams. Betty Sue graduated from Ruffin High School in 1954. She worked many years at Farm Bureau Insurance where she retired in 1990 and began traveling with her late husband Bill. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Betty Sue and Bill were married over 60 years at the time of his passing in 2023. She poured her heart and soul into her marriage and nurturing her children. But perhaps Betty Sue’s greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She adored her granddaughters with every fiber of her being, doting on them and showering them with affection at every opportunity. Watching them grow and thrive brought her immeasurable happiness, and she cherished every moment spent with Hannah and Emily. Surviving are: Son, Richard “Ricky” Alan Wilson and his wife Connie of Walterboro; granddaughters, Hannah Wilson and Emily Wilson, both of Walterboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth “Bill” Wilson; daughter, Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Friend; sisters, Joyce W. Rahn and Mary Jo W. Dodd. A graveside service was held 3:00 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, May 12, 2024, at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Walterboro. Arrangements By: The Brice W.
