Wayne Brothers Companies held the groundbreaking for its new regional operations center at the Walterboro Airport Industrial Park. Dignitaries from Colleton County and the State attended the event. The cloudy skies did not deter the event which also and included a catered meal.
Wayne Brothers Companies is based in Davidson, North Carolina, and is a leader in Concrete Construction, Civil & Infrastructure and Industrial Contracting. The new operations center is part of a long-term plan to support growing their business in South Carolina and Georgia. Wayne Brothers is investing $7 million and will create 75 jobs in the area.
Keith Wayne, President and CEO, of Wayne Brothers said, “After meeting with community leaders, we knew Colleton County was where we wanted to make an investment. We are committed to developing over 33 acres in the Colleton Venture Park where we will have construction management, recruitment, and human resources staff.
Clearing and construction has already begun at the site with temporary office space already setup on the site.
