Fire-Rescue responded to a water rescue south of West Bank Landing on the Edisto River Sunday afternoon 07-May at 15:18. A small boat carrying three people capsized in the river dumping the three people into the water. They were wearing floatation devices. Several other boats on the river responded and pulled the people to safety, then carried them back to the landing. Two boaters also pulled the capsized boat back to the landing. Fire-Rescue divers put in a West Bank Landing and responded to the disabled boat, but fortunately the divers were not needed.
