Warhawks defeat Spartanburg Christian

Colleton Prep War Hawks made the long trip to Spartanburg looking for a win against Spartanburg Christian. The Hawks were trying to extend their winning streak to 3 games and their record to 4-2. The Hawks would defeat the Warriors 36-14 to accomplish both of these goals. The Hawks would break out brand new black helmets to go along with their alternate road jerseys.

The Hawks would cruise to a 15-0 half-time lead and then used a 21-point third quarter top increase the score to 36-0 to begin the fourth quarter. The Warriors would score two late touchdowns to make the final score. 36-14.

Offensively, the Hawks were led by Caleb Davis who would rush for 134 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown. He also had a 40-yard receiving touchdown giving him 174 all-purpose yardages for the game. Cole Davis would rush for 74 yards on six carries and a touchdown. Walker Bryan would add two touchdowns to contribute to the win.

Freshman quarterback, Cale Owens completed 3 of 4 passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. The Hawks will be looking to extend their winning ways to four straight as they host Greenwood Christian Academy Hawks at War Hawk field Friday night. Kick-off is at 7:30. For more information visit@cpawarhawks.
